Carved into the side of rocky foothills, this Desert Modern is clad in natural-toned stacked stone to blend with its environment. A linear design wraps the hillside to take advantage of the panoramas the site has to offer; entering from the ‘behind’ the residence offers guests the experience of being drawn past sculptural natural rock walls, through a Great Room surrounded by high window walls, and out to a covered deck that overlooks a vista of the Tucson Valley below. The shaded Deck is complete with Outdoor Kitchen, Dining, Lounge, and Fire Feature spaces, surrounding a Pool and Spa that rises from the site below to offer spectacular views. An upper story includes additional Guest Rooms and a Private Office that looks across the extent of the Santa Catalina Mountains.
