Residential Architecture

Tuscan & Mediterranean

Dowd

An expansive natural stone Auto Court and central fountain give the initial impression of a Mediterranean village rather than a single residence. Integrating stone masonry, arched windows and openings, columns, and clay tile roofs, a modern-meets-traditional style takes shape. Through custom-designed iron and glass double doors, the raised Foyer focuses attention outward and upward. The Travertine tile floors and a modern take on a barrel-and-groin vault ceiling of the Great Room are surrounded by walls of glass that bring in the rocky landscape. Climbing the staircase in one of the home’s many towers leads to a media / entertainment room, and continues out further to an expansive roof deck. A custom Wine Room, Library with fireplace, and private Gallery Hallway leading to the Master Suite are just a few additional features that truly make this a villa in the desert.
