Desert Modern

Lot 50

Stacked stone piers inside and out that support expansive overhangs and broad geometric forms describe this Desert Modern home. Tiered planters and custom fountains lead to an entry which disguise the fact that the rear of this home extends out to and over a desert wash. An opening on one deck floor creates a space that allows a native saguaro to rise through and be featured as a unique organic sculpture, preventing the need to move it from its position. Two walk decks extend out over the wash and meet to form a lofted platform with views of the surrounding canyon. A trio of steeply angled columns ensure the delicate riparian habitat below is barely disturbed.
