Desert Modern

Metz

How to design a Desert Modern home that blends into rough desert canyon walls? Two variations were provided to the client. Both mix stucco walls with stacked stone accents, columns and retaining walls. The dissimilarities are primarily in roof structures. First variant uses shallow peaked roof segments with raised seam metal surfaces. Second variant features a series of floating cantilever roof slabs. An example of how one floor plan can be realized with a number of distinctive elevations.
