Set into a dramatic desert hillside, this sprawling custom home was designed to follow the natural contours of the land, resulting in a series of angled wings that radiate from the central great room. The architecture responds to the rugged terrain with layered massing, flat rooflines, and textural stonework that mirrors the surrounding rock formations. Expanses of glass frame panoramic views while seamlessly connecting interior living spaces to expansive patios, an outdoor kitchen, and a negative-edge pool. The layout includes a private guest wing, an executive office suite, a fitness center, and multiple garage bays tucked behind a curved motor court. Deep roof overhangs provide shade and emphasize horizontality, while steel columns and minimalist detailing maintain a clean, contemporary feel. Whether viewed from above or experienced at ground level, this mountain desert residence is a study in contextual design—elevating everyday living while staying grounded in the landscape.
